Nintendo Q1FY2024 Results: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sells 18.51 million units
Nintendo has released its quarterly financials [PDF] through Q1 of the 2024 fiscal year (April 2023 through May 2024), which reveals that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has sold 18.51 million units as of June 30. 15.70 million of that total is the sell-through to consumers.
We previously learned that the game had sold 10 million units in its first three days of sales.
Relative to previous Nintendo financial releases, we don't have too many other updates regarding RPGs, but we do have Switch best-seller sales updates as follows:
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 30.65 million units since launch [up from 29.81 last quarter]
- Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield have sold 25.92 million units since launch [up from 25.82 last quarter]
- Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have sold 22.66 million units since launch [up from 22.10 last quarter]
Nintendo doesn't have any major RPG releases in the 2nd quarter of the current fiscal year, but we can look forward to the Super Mario RPG remake in November.
